Alan's Story - A Personal Connection
TheraNuvo began with a deeply personal experience.
Our founder, Alan Finkelstein, was unexpectedly thrust into the world of speech therapy after undergoing brain surgery that left him unable to speak. Faced with the daunting challenge of relearning how to communicate, Alan encountered the same barriers many patients do—long wait times, outdated paper-based exercises, and limited access to qualified therapists.
His recovery depended on neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to rewire itself—which peaks in the first few weeks after trauma. But without consistent therapy, those critical early days were slipping away. Alan realized that there had to be a better way.
Motivated by that experience, he assembled a team of technologists, clinicians, and innovators to build TheraNuvo—a modern, accessible platform that delivers personalized, clinically driven therapy wherever and whenever it’s needed.
What began as one man’s struggle is now a mission to help millions reclaim their voices and their independence.

Alan FinkelStein
Founder / CEO
Alan is a seasoned inventor and entrepreneur with a long history of building and investing in breakthrough companies. He co-founded Our Daily Bread Health Foods and served as the founder and CEO of Incard Credit Card Technologies, where he was also the lead inventor. As an early advisor and seed investor in Magic Leap, Tiger Text, and Surgical Theatre, Alan has consistently demonstrated a keen eye for innovation in healthcare and technology. He also co-founded People Science, further showcasing his commitment to transformative solutions that improve lives.
Madi Labrecht
Chief SLP Officer
A speech-language pathologist with a Master’s from Marquette University, specializing in communication and feeding disorders. She is launching a speech therapy program at a transdisciplinary clinic for individuals with IDD, leveraging her expertise in CPT and EMR systems to create tailored solutions. Madi also developed a thriving vocational program for individuals with Down syndrome and presented her findings at the 2022 ASHA Convention, showcasing her dedication to the field.
Dr. Neil Martin
Chief Medical Advisor
Dr. Neil A. Martin was the Chief Medical Officer at Providence Health's South Division covering 17 hospitals. He was also Director of Neurosurgery at UCLA for 15 years, Director of the Neuroscience Institute at Geisinger Health andcurrently Neurosurgeon at Pacific Neuroscience Institute.

Russ is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience founding and scaling startups. He specializes in creative go-to market strategies, operations, and business development with a proven track record of leadership and executing the brand vision. Russ excels in building strong relationships and has successfully executed multiple acquisitions across diverse industries.
Robert F. Bodi
IP and Patent Attorney
with over 25 years of experience in intellectual property law. Founder and managing partner of Bodi Law LLC, he combines his background as an electrical and systems engineer, including work with NASA, to provide expert guidance on patent law across diverse technologies. Known for his client-focused approach, Bob is a trusted advisor for entrepreneurs and small businesses seeking to protect and leverage their innovations.
