d. Usage & Activity Data

We collect anonymized usage data to understand how patients and clinicians interact with the platform, improve exercises, and train AI models.

We use your information to:

  • Provide and personalize therapy experiences
  • Enable clinician-patient communication
  • Generate reports for clinicians and insurance documentation (e.g., SOAP/Progress Notes)
  • Improve product performance and train AI models (using only anonymized data)
  • Ensure account security and compliance
  • Meet regulatory requirements

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share information:

  • With your authorized Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • With third-party vendors for technical infrastructure (e.g., AWS for cloud hosting)

  • With your explicit consent

4. AI & Data Privacy

Theranuvo’s AI features may analyze patient data to assist in progress tracking, scoring, or therapy recommendations. Only de-identified, anonymized data is used for AI training. No PHI is used in external datasets.

5. Data Security

We implement encryption, access controls, and routine security audits. All health information is stored securely using HIPAA-compliant systems hosted in the cloud (e.g., AWS).

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

7. Data Retention

Theranuvo is not intended for direct use by children under 13. Parents or legal guardians must provide consent and oversee use of the platform.
